The Triwizard Champion and Quidditch Captain took her to the Yule Ball in her fifth year. Cho was devastated when Cedric died. She went out with Harry briefly on the rebound the next year, but that was pretty much a disaster. She spent much of the year crying and thinking about Cedric. She moved on to fellow Ravenclaw Michael Corner in her final year at Hogwarts.

Cho plays Seeker for the Ravenclaw Quidditch team on her Comet Two Sixty. She had some problems with injuries before the ’93 season, but she is known to be a good player. She was a member of the D.A., where she learned to cast a Patronus in the shape of a swan.

Colin spent much of his first year following Harry around and trying to get his picture. He only stopped when he was petrified by a basilisk. He had seen it through the lens of his camera, so he luckily wasn’t killed. His camera, sadly, was not as lucky. He was revived at the end of the year. Colin and his brother tried to alter the “Potter Stinks” badges during the Triwizard Tournament, but they ended up turning them into “Potter Really Stinks” badges. Colin was a member of the D.A., which helped him master the Impediment Jinx.

Creevey, Dennis Creevey, Dennis
Dennis is Colin Creevey’s younger brother. He, too, is tiny and mousy-haired. He is in the Gryffindor class of 2001. Dennis helped Colin try to alter the “Potter Stinks” badges, but the magic was too much for the first year, and they ended up with “Potter Really Stinks” badges. In his 2nd year, Dennis snuck into Hogsmeade just so he could attend the meeting to start up the D.A.

Creevey, Mr. Creevey, Mr.
Mr. Creevey is a Muggle milkman. His sons, Colin and Dennis, are wizards.

Cresswell, Dirk Cresswell, Dirk

Crockford, Doris Crockford, Doris

Crouch, Bartemius Jr. Crouch, Bartemius Jr.
Barty Crouch, Jr. had straw-colored hair and freckled, milk-white skin. He was a smart boy who got twelve O.W.L.s. However, his workaholic father was rarely around, and this was believed to be the reason Barty went bad. When he was 19, he was caught with Death Eaters (the Lestranges) and convicted of torturing the Longbottoms for information about Voldemort. Even though he denied everything, he was sent to Azkaban with a life-sentence by his very own father. He was screaming for his mother by nightfall but went quiet after a few days. Officially, he died in Azkaban after about a year and is buried outside the fortress. What really happened was that his mother, already ill, begged her husband to save him. When his parents went to visit him, his mother switched places with him and his father took him home.

He was kept confined to the house by his father and watched over by their house-elf, Winky. One day, a witch from the Ministry, Bertha Jorkins, went over and stumbled upon Barty’s existence. His father had to obliviate her, but she was never the same again. By chance, Bertha fell into the path of Voldemort and by probing her mind, he learned that his most faithful servant was still alive. In 1994, Winky convinced his father to let him go to the Quidditch World Cup because he had always loved Quidditch. Barty attended the match, supervised by Winky, under an Invisibility Cloak. By that time, he was slowly fighting the Imperius Curse his father had put on him and managed to get a hold of a wand. That night, when some old Death Eaters were fooling around, Barty decided to send the Dark Mark into the sky and see how loyal they really were; he wasn’t surprised when they ran. Some time later, Voldemort himself showed up at the Crouch house to reclaim Barty’s services and put his father under the Imperius. Barty would pose as the new DADA professor, Mad-Eye Moody, using Polyjuice Potion and fix the Triwizard Tournament so that Harry Potter would win and be delivered to his master. Ironically, he stressed the importance of being able to fight the Imperius Curse to his classes, seeing as it took himself over a decade to throw it off. Complications arose when his father began fighting the curse as well and showed up at Hogwarts. Barty intercepted before Albus Dumbledore could talk to him and killed him. He turned the Triwizard Cup into a portkey that sent Potter to Voldemort. Unfortunately, Potter escaped and returned to Hogwarts. Barty was exposed and forced with Veritaserum to tell his story. Soon afterwards, an overeager Dementor kissed him to death.

Crouch, Bartemius Crouch, Bartemius
Bartemius Crouch, Sr. was a stiff, upright, elderly man with short gray hair parted unnaturally straight. He had a narrow toothbrush mustache and wrinkly skin. At the time when Voldemort first disappeared, Crouch was power hungry and devoted his whole life to becoming the Minister of Magic. He was the Head of the Dept. of Magical Law Enforcement and was very outspoken against the Dark Side. He was obsessed with sending Voldemort’s supporters to Azkaban; he even sent Sirius Black without a trial. He gave Aurors the power to use Unforgivable Curses on suspects. Then his son was caught with Death Eaters and his career was derailed. His reputation was ruined because the public saw him as a neglectful father. Crouch gave his son a trial mostly to show how much he hated him, and then he sentenced him to Azkaban in order to make clear he didn’t show favoritism. As far as he was concerned, he had no son. Unfortunately, the damage to his career was already done.

His wife, whom he loved, begged him to rescue their son from the horrors of Azkaban. Since she was already on the verge of death, she used Polyjuice Potion to switch places with her son. She died in the prison while he restrained their son at home with the Imperius Curse. A witch from his office, Bertha Jorkins, inadvertently discovered the secret, and Crouch frantically used a Memory Charm on her. Regrettably, the charm was far too powerful and her brain could not handle it. By 1994, he was shuffled to Head of the Department of International Magical Cooperation since he could speak over 200 languages (mermish, gobbledegook, troll…). Crouch helped to organize the Quidditch World Cup and was convinced by his house-elf, Winky, to let his son attend. However, it turned out to be a bad idea because his son got hold of a wand and cast the Dark Mark, triggering chaos. He released Winky for allowing it to happen. Crouch got a taste of his own medicine when his son returned to the services of Voldemort, who put him under the Imperius Curse. Crouch was supposed to be a judge in the Triwizard Tournament, but after the first task, Voldemort kept him from going to work at all. Eventually, Crouch was able to throw the curse off enough to reach Hogwarts in an attempt to warn them. However, his son, having been warned by Voldemort, killed him when he arrived.

Crouch, Mrs. Crouch, Mrs.
Mrs. Crouch was a wispy-looking witch whose husband was fanatical about his work. Her son, Bartemius Crouch Jr., was caught with Death Eaters and sentenced by her own husband to prison. Officially, she wasted away from grief because her son was in Azkaban. In reality, she convinced her husband to do her one last favor and rescue their son, knowing that she would die soon anyway. They went to Azkaban and she used Polyjuice Potion to switch places. She died shortly afterward and is buried outside the prison fortress.
