Diagon Alley
Tom the Bartender Tom the Bartender
Tom is the wizened, bald owner of the Leaky Cauldron, which acts as an entrance to Diagon Alley. His appearance bears a resemblance to a toothless walnut. Tom is always friendly and hospitable to his customers. He watched over Harry Potter when the boy stayed at his inn in the summer of ’93.

Fortescue, Florean Fortescue, Florean

When Harry Potter spent part of his summer in Diagon Alley in ’93, Florean would help him with his homework and give him free sundaes. He knows a good deal about medieval witch burnings. He was dragged off from his shop in the summer of ’96 when Voldemort’s supporters were wreaking havoc all over the country.

Malkin, Madam Malkin, Madam
Madam Malkin is the squat, smiling witch who owns Madam Malkin’s Robes for All Occassions in Diagon Alley. She does not like confrontation.

He remembers every wand he has ever made and sold. Ollivander was the wand specialist appointed to test the wands of the champions in the 1994 Triwizard Tournament. He vanished from his store in the summer of ’96, probably at the hands of Death Eaters.

Fred Weasley and his twin brother, George, were born, appropriately enough, on April Fool’s day to Arthur and Molly. The twins are pranksters to the core, always looking for a laugh. These irrepressible troublemakers are the bane of Hogwarts caretaker Filch’s existence. In their very first year, they filched the Marauder’s Map from his office, through which they learned all the secret passages of Hogwarts. In their fifth year, they bequeathed the map to Harry Potter, having already memorized it. The two are nearly always together, both playing Beater for their Quidditch team.

Though they appear to only fool around, Fred and George are really quite clever. They don’t care much about school other than what can help them invent joke products. After earning only 3 O.W.L.s apiece, they put their full efforts into developing items to start their own joke shop. These (and the eventual shop) were called Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes. The twins must have a solid grasp of magic to be able to create many of their innovations. They also have a surprising aptitude for business, using their last two years at Hogwarts to test their products among students and build up a market. The twins left their seventh year early with many a bang that will long be the stuff of Hogwarts legend.

Harry had given the twins 1000 pounds to help start up their shop. This was enough for them to acquire a place in Diagon Alley and open up shop right away. Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes was an instant success, carrying a wide range of products. In addition to the prank items, the twins expanded with a more serious Defense Against the Dark Arts line. They have been looking into acquiring Zonko’s as a Hogsmeade branch.
